This career began in New York working reception at a general practice while finishing my degree. My specialty rotation brought me to meet two veterinary ophthalmologists. This is when I saw different career paths I could take.
Being in a specialty veterinary hospital gives me the chance to see on a day-to-day basis cases that have been referred by regular veterinarians. These pets need to be evaluated by a specialist.
Specialty protocols, diagnostic testing, bloodwork, and an increasing amount of surgical procedures become exhilarating.
My goal is to be able to transmit knowledge, which is constantly being challenged with new cases. Also be able to bring to attention the importance of pets eye health.
